Ultralight Alpha Direct camp booties made from scrap pieces of Polartec Alpha Direct fleece (and sometimes other fleece), these silly light booties keep my scraps out of the landfill and keep your tootsies warm after a long day on trail.
The 90gsm is great mainly if you want to wear these over your socks at camp for a boost of warmth, or want a super light pair of camp socks so you don't have to wear your sweaty ones. These only add a small to moderate amount of warmth. The 120gsm is great for some real cold weather including winter and shoulder season camping.
The best part about these is the hydrophibic nature of this fleece. It will never wet out so you can put these on over wet wool socks and wet feet without losing any insulative properties in the socks. Which is honestly the most handy application for these after long days slogging in wet trail, stream crossings, rain or snow.
These come in 3 sizes and the heaviest version (Large in 120gsm fleece) is only 1.3 ounces or 37 grams, while the lightest version (small in 90gsm) is .7 ounces or 20 grams. So these will average around 1 ounce or 28 grams.
The price for all is the same but in the order notes you must tell me the number of the pair of booties you want from the photos above. Custom booties can be made by request and will incur a $5 extra charge which I will send as a pay link.
