A different version of the Polartec Alpha Hoodie, this version uses Polartec Alpha WITH WOOL fabric. This fabric weighs 150gsm so it is a little heavier than other Alpha fleece but it combines Alpha fleece with a merino wool liner. The composition is 63% polyester, 33% wool and 4% nylon. The way I make this, the merino wool liner is against your skin giving you a wicking and antimicrobial layer facing your body. The polyester fleece fibers are on the outside. 
 
It's still lighter than most any other fleece product on the market and breathes just like Alpha Direct. It is also more durable than Alpha Direct and less prone to snags due to the entirely different frame structure. Think of this like a merino wool base layer and fleece mid layer in one.
