**Size chart is in product photos. Sizing is the same as the Alpha hoodies**
*Alpha Direct with WOOL now available in Olive. See color choices below. Alpha with wool is 150gsm*
All the benefits of the Bend Alpha 90 hoodie, but a crew neck instead of a hood. Save some weight and bulk, more easily integrate this into your layering system, or pair this with my Multitool neck gaiter to make yourself a modular hoodie!
This thing weighs about as much as air, and packs down to nothing. Its a simple design, but its bomber. Insanely warm, breathable, durable and hydrophobic.
Polartec Alpha Direct fabric is made in Tenessee, and the garmnet is cut and sewn in Bend, Oregon, making this an enitely USA-made garment.
Specific weights are on the way but, you can count on these being less than 5 ounces in any size. This womens medium weights 3.6 ounces. See below as I'm acquiring weights as I build them.
**The collar on these, can start out a little tight on some people. It does break in over time. This is due to the lack of elasticity in Alpha Direct fabric.**
Weights:
Womens small: 3.4 ounces or 96 grams
Womens medium or mens small: 3.6 ounces or 102 grams
Womens large or mens medium: 4.25 ounces or 120 grams

I purchased the alpha crew as a layer for gravel biking in the San Francisco Bay Area where micro climates swing so wildly it’s hard to keep up- but the alpha crew does!
Hi,
Really wonderful product / cozy, warm, airy, and great fit. I sized for base layer, but I will probably get another one a size up for mid layer usage.
Really want to shout out Magnet for great customer service. I ordered around the holidays and Magnet reached out to me directly to keep me updated on material availability in case I wanted to switch colors or refund since my chosen color wouldn’t be available in time - it didn’t matter for me; but that kind of effort and care is awesome!
I purchased a Bend Alpha 90 Crew for myself and a wool-blend for my partner. This has been a great layer for winter hikes in northern California and working around the house. It's incredibly light and comfortable. I layer it over a merino t-shirt and the garment keeps me warm and breathes well during hikes. I throw on a puffy vest during cold mornings and I’m super comfortable. The wool-blend version is warmer and my partner hasn't needed to layer anything on top. Great quality garment.
I purchased this as a lightweight multi-purpose mid layer predominantly for travel. It can compress down to a tiny size and it weighs nearly nothing. The fabric doesn't look technical (it looks sort of luxurious honestly), so it can be worn with multiple outfits and still be useful as an active layer. I am 5'11" and 180 lbs with relatively broad shoulders which put me between sizes (M/L). I ordered up as advised and it's definitely a bit loose, but in a good way. Great customer service :)
not what I was expecting, but in the Best way! I've had a plain alpha 90 top that has been a part of my base pack for any day or multi-day hikes. This wool blend is just a touch denser, blocks a little more of a breeze, but still breaths. A soft furry cozy LUV of a top. I love the alpha fleeces as an insulator under my rain gear in MN shoulder season cold rains. Whether it wets thru, or I sweat it out. You just take the top off, give a shake and it's dry again and still keeping you warm.
