The hood can be layed loosely over the dogs head for even more coverage of neck and head. For the coldest conditions the hood can be cinched around the dogs head using the drawcord. Why custom-made? Because the sizes, shapes and proportions of dogs is far more variable than for humans. Just because companies sell off-the-shelf dog garments, doesn't mean they fit or function optimally or do anything at all for your dog. With a custom made garment I can assure there are no hotspots or pressure points, that the garment covers all of the body that it anatomically can cover, and isnt gapping on the body letting the cold air flow through it, making the whole thing useless .
This fleece fabric is made in the USA by Polartec from recycled materials. Fleece is a great fabric for dogs because its super light, very elastic, durable, hydrophobic, insulates when wet, stain-resistant, and dries quickly

To be taken with dog standing.
1) length from 1 inch behind where the dog's collar naturally sits, down the spine following the contour, to the base of tail (where the tail joins the body)
2) circumfrence of neck, 1 inch behind where the collar naturally sits
3) circumfrence of chest at widest point
4) circumfrence of waist at narrowest point
Please measure these twice and be sure to record the numbers accurately.

I you look at the photos you will see the length, girth of the waist, chest and neck are all spot on. You can expect the same no matter your dog's shape or size.

Since each item is custom cut and sewn for your secific dog, there are no refunds except in a case where the item doesn't fit correctly because of my error. In such a case I would alter or refund.
